South Africa to host the 17th Meeting of the SA-EU Joint Cooperation Council (JCC)

South Africa will host the 17th Meeting of the South Africa-European Union (SA-EU) Joint Cooperation Council (JCC), on Monday, 22 June 2026, in Pretoria.

The meeting will be co-chaired by the Director-General of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), Mr Zane Dangor, and the Managing Director for Africa at the European External Action Service (EEAS), Ms Patricia Llombart Cussac.

The 17th meeting of the SA-EU JCC aims to further deepen the South Africa–EU Strategic Partnership by promoting dialogue and cooperation on key strategic priorities, including peace and security, multilateralism, trade and the just energy transition. It will also serve as a platform to assess the current geopolitical environment and its impact on bilateral and global cooperation.
