Memorial Service for the late Dr Aziz Pahad
The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) will hold a memorial service for the late Dr Aziz Pahad on Tuesday, 17 October 2023.
Pahad was born on 25 December 1940 and passed away on 27 September 2023.
Pahad served as the Deputy Minister of the then Department of Foreign Affairs (now the Department of International Relations and Cooperation) from 1994 to 2008.
The memorial service will take place at DIRCO’s OR Tambo Building in Pretoria and is expected to begin at 11h00 (media to arrive by 10h30).
Among the speakers will be:
- Dr Naledi Pandor, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation
- Angina Pahad, spouse
- Dr Sidney Mufamadi, former colleague and friend.
