Update on media arrangements for the SADC Organ Troika Plus the Republic of Mozambique and the Kingdom of eSwatini

 

As Chair of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation, South Africa will convene the Ministerial Meeting of the SADC Organ Troika Plus the Republic of Mozambique and the Kingdom of eSwatini on Sunday, 03 April 2022, in Pretoria.

 

The Republic of South Africa assumed the rotational Chairship of the SADC Organ in August 2021. The other Troika member states are the Republic of Namibia (incoming Chair) and the Republic of Botswana.

 

Programme:

 

01-02 April 2022: Technical Experts and Senior Officials Meeting (Not open to the media)

03 April 2022: Ministerial Committee Meeting (Media to cover Opening Remarks)

 

Media accreditation:

 

There will be live accreditation taking place as from 01 – 04 April 2022 from 08h00-16h00.

 

The venue for accreditation is Dennis Adami Hall, Wren & Soutpansberg Road, Queenswood, Pretoria.

 

Members of the media are expected to present their press cards and ID/passports at the accreditation venue.

 

Only bona fide journalists, broadcasters, photographers, film and television camera crews and technicians will be accredited as media.

 

Media facilities:

 

Media houses bringing OB Vans need to indicate and submit their information no later than the 02 April 2022 to any of the contact persons below.

 

Access to media facilities will be available only to accredited media.

 

Workstations for the media will be set up.

 

Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available.
