SADC Extraordinary Meeting of the Ministerial Committee of the Organ Troika Plus Personnel Contributing Countries, and the Republic of Mozambique

Minister Naledi Pandor in her capacity as the Chair of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Ministerial Committee of the Organ on Politics, Defence and Security will host the SADC Extraordinary Ministerial Committee of the Organ Troika Plus Personnel Contributing Countries, and the Republic of Mozambique on 25 November 2021, in Pretoria.

The Meeting is the continuation of discussions of the SADC support to the Republic of Mozambique, in efforts to combat acts of terrorism and violent extremism in the Northern Region of Cabo Delgado Province. The Extraordinary Organ Troika Summit Plus Mozambique of 5 October 2021 extended the mandate of Southern African Mission In Mozambique (SAMIM) to 15 January 2021.

The Ministers are therefore meeting to review progress of the SAMIM deployment in Cab Delgado.
