Minister Pandor to participate in a Virtual Dialogue: How to End Vaccine Apartheid

 

The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Dr Naledi Pandor will, this evening, 16 December 2021 at 18h00, participate in Virtual Dialogue, How to End Vaccine Apartheid, organised by the Foreign Policy Magazine in partnership with Brand South Africa.

 

According to the organisers, the Virtual Dialogue will explore the COVID-19 “vaccine apartheid,” the latest developments in the COVAX initiative, approaches to intellectual property around the world, the role of public-private partnerships in meeting production goals, and ideas to help bridge the vaccine divide and avoid a “forever pandemic.”

 

Other panellists include Thomas Cueni, Director-General, International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations; Kate Elder, Senior Vaccines Policy Advisor, Doctors Without Borders Access Campaign;  Fatima Hassan, Founder and Director, Health Justice Initiative; Dr Stavros Nicolaou, Senior Executive, Strategic Trade Development, Aspen Pharmacare Group; and Sai D. Prasad, President, Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturers Network; President, Quality Operations, Bharat Biotech International Ltd.
