Minister Pandor to host her Netherlands counterpart for a Joint Commission for Cooperation (JCC)
The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Dr Naledi Pandor, will on Monday, 03 February 2020 host the Foreign Minister of Netherlands, Mr Stef Blok for the inaugural meeting of South Africa – Netherlands Joint Commission for Cooperation.
The Joint Commission is aimed at strengthening and expanding cooperation in line with the priorities of the two governments, particularly in the areas of agriculture and water management. The two Ministers will also exchanging views on issue that are on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council.
South Africa and Netherlands have a strong and historical relationship. Bilateral trade reached R60 billion in 2019 and the Netherlands is an important international investor in the South African economy. Netherlands also provides support to South Africa in areas in which it is world-leader such as logistic and water management.
