Minister Pandor to address Media at 10h00 ahead of DIRCO Budget Vote Speech at 14h00 – 20 May 2021

 

The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Dr Naledi Pandor, is scheduled to brief the media ahead of the Budget Vote Speech of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO).

 

The media briefing is scheduled as follows:

The Minister will deliver the Budget Vote Speech to a virtual parliamentary session planned for 14h00 on Thursday, 20 May 2021.

 

It is expected that Minister Pandor will outline plans and activities to be undertaken during the course of the 2021/2022 financial year towards the implementation of South Africa’s foreign policy.

 

It is further expected that the Minister will reiterate, among other things, South Africa’s commitment to (1) the African Agenda, (2) the centrality of multilateralism, and (3) the importance of international solidarity.

 

The speech will be broadcast Ubuntu Radio and on DIRCO’s social media pages.
