Deputy Minister Mashego-Dlamini to address a symposium on SA’s chairing of the AU, University of Venda

The Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Candith Mashego-Dlamini, will on Friday, 13 March 2020, address a symposium on South Africa’s Chairing of the African Union (AU) at the University of Venda, Limpopo Province. The symposium will focus on South Africa’s priorities as chair of the African Union. In February 2020, South Africa assumed the Chairship of the AU, the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) and the Committee of African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change (CAHOSG).

The aim of the symposium is to contextualise South Africa’s Chairship of the AU, stimulate debates on international obligations and national domestic priorities and to give participants a platform to interact with the Deputy Minister regarding matters of international engagements between the country and the world at large.
