Ambassador Sejosingoe attends the Africa Smart Mobility Forum and reception
On 1 June 2026, Ambassador Sejosingoe attended the Africa Smart Mobility Forum co-hosted by the Czech Ministries of Transport and Foreign Affairs. The event constituted the Czech government’s commemoration of Africa Day and took the form of a high‑level conference focused on transport, urban mobility, aviation and smart mobility technologies followed by a reception.
The event brought together representatives of 31 Czech companies and delegations from seven African countries and African Diplomatic Missions accredited to the Czech Republic. The conference featured panel discussions and thematic roundtables on smart cities, long‑distance transport and air mobility. The reception that followed was co‑hosted by the Czech Minister of Transport, Mr Ivan Bednárik, and Deputy Minister Chatardová.
Ambassador Sejosingoe delivers keynote address at the Africa Day Public Lecture
On 28 May 2026, the African Group of Ambassadors and the Institute for Political Studies at Charles University, the largest and one of the oldest universities in Europe, co-hosted an Africa Day public lecture. The lecture, titled “Africa and the Changing World Order: Opportunities and Threats,” formed part of the Group’s intellectual contribution to Africa Day 2026.
Ambassador Sejosingoe delivered the keynote address, followed by remarks from the Ambassador of Rwanda in his capacity as Deputy Dean of the Group. The event was moderated by Associate Professor Martin Riegl and attended by students, academics, diplomats, and members of the African expatriate community. This engagement strengthened Africa’s academic footprint in the Czech Republic and positioned the African Group as a thought leader on global geopolitical developments.
Ambassador Sejosingoe participates in the 2026 Creative Africa Foundation Award Ceremony
On 26 May 2026, Ambassador Sejosingoe delivered opening remarks at the 2026 Creative Africa Award Ceremony, hosted by the Creative Africa Foundation, a Czech association dedicated to promoting African arts, literature and cultural exchange. In her capacity as Dean of the African Group of Ambassadors, she honoured four laureates who received awards for their contributions to strengthening cultural ties between Africa and the Czech Republic.
This engagement highlighted the African Group of Ambassadors’ commitment to supporting African creatives, amplifying African narratives and fostering people‑to‑people diplomacy. The ceremony also reinforced the growing recognition of African cultural influence within Czech society.
Ambassador Sejosingoe hosts Africa Day reception on behalf of the African Group of Ambassadors in the Czech Republic
On 25 May 2026, Ambassador Sejosingoe hosted an Africa Day reception at the Official Residence on behalf of the African Group of Ambassadors, of which she is currently the Dean. The event brought together officials from the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs — particularly from the Departments of Sub‑Saharan Africa and Middle East & North Africa — as well as Heads of Mission and transferred staff from African Embassies accredited to the Czech Republic. The Guest of Honour was Ms Marie Chatardová, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs responsible for Africa. The reception featured a performance by a Czech choir singing traditional Zulu songs, symbolising the deepening cultural ties between Africa and the Czech Republic. The event showcased African unity, cultural richness, and diplomatic presence, while strengthening relationships with Czech government counterparts.
Ambassador Sejosingoe meets Prime Minister Andrej Babiš during lunch hosted by the Ambassador of Spain
A lunch hosted on 27 March 2026 by the Ambassador of Spain for an informal group of female Ambassadors in Prague provided an opportunity for Ambassador Sejosingoe to meet the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Mr Andrej Babiš, who was the Guest of Honour at the event.
Ambassador Sejosingoe delivers remarks at the Women Who Change the World event
Ambassador Sejosingoe delivered remarks at an event entitled Women Who Change the World held in Horní Bezděkov on Sunday 22 March 2026 where she was the special guest. The event was hosted by Ms Lucie “Nozizwe” Jiyane, a laureate in the 2025 Women Changing the World Awards.
The Ambassador’s remarks were followed by a debate with the participation of Ms Kamila Paličková, Founder of the Women Changing the World Awards, Ms Lenka Štastná, Business Elevator, and Ms Jiyane.
Ambassador Sejosingoe officially opens the 22nd season of the Creative Africa Festival
In her capacity as Dean of the African Group of Ambassadors in the Czech Republic, Ambassador Sejosingoe officially opened the 22nd season of the Creative Africa festival held at the Kolowrat Theatre in Prague on Sunday 8 March 2026.
In attendance were members of the Diplomatic Community in the Czech Republic, senior officials from the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts, the French Institute, the UNESCO-Prague City of Literature and members of the African community in Prague.
The annual festival is organised by Creative Africa, a Czech association focusing on promoting African arts, literature and cultural exchange within the Czech Republic under the leadership of Ms Lucie Nemeckova, who is also the Director of the festival.
