South African visa processing

  • Nigerien Citizens travelling to South Africa must be in possession of a visa and the passport must have two unused pages required for endorsements. The two unused pages when presented for purposes of endorsing a port of entry visa, permanent residence permit or entry of departure stamp.

Ten (10) working days.

Visa fee (non-refundable)
24.000F CFA (+200F CFA Bank transaction fee)

All documents provided must be in English, according to the Immigration Act 3 of 3 February 2015, section 9 (4) (b).

  • A visa application form duly completed and signed by the applicant;
  • A copy of Passport valid at least 30 days after the planned visit to South Africa;
  • The Passport must contain at least two (2) blank pages for entry and exit stamps;
  • Confirmation of hotel reservation in South Africa or proof of accommodation;
  • A copy of the vaccination certificate (yellow fever vaccination must be dated at least 10 days before the date of entry into South Africa);
  • Documents confirming the purpose and duration of the travel to South Africa (letter of invitation);
  • A bar-coded movement travel document;
  • Two (2) passport photos;

Proof of financial means:

  • Bank statements
  • Pay slips
  • Funding certificate
  •  Host business in South Africa
  • Medical insurance;
  • Proof of funds, including credit cards or traveller’s checks covering living expenses while in the Republic of South Africa.

Flight plan (reservation of the return plane ticket) or as the case may be:

  • Proof of sufficient funds to cover the return journey.
  • For holders of diplomatic or official passports, a Note Verbale from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs exempting them from paying visa fees.

TRANSIT VISA:

  • All the documents mentioned above
  •  Proof of obtaining the visa of the country of destination.
