South Africa to host SADC Extra-Ordinary Organ Troika Summit

The media are invited to apply for accreditation to the SADC Extra-Ordinary Organ Troika Summit plus the Republic of Mozambique, the Kingdom of eSwatini and Personnel Contributing Countries, to be held from 04-05 April 2022 in Pretoria.

It is expected that the Extra-Ordinary Organ Troika Summit will receive, among others, the SAMIM (SADC Mission in Mozambique) progress report and consider recommendations on the way forward, based on the operational situation on the ground.

It is envisaged that the Extra-Ordinary Organ Troika Summit will be preceded by a Meeting of Senior Officials on the 02-03 April 2022 and the Ministerial Committee of the Organ (MCO) on 04 April 2022, respectively.

The Republic of South Africa assumed the rotational Chairship of the Southern African Development Community Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation from August 2021 to August 2022.
