Minister Pandor to participate on the African Forum on Women Peace and Security

The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Dr Naledi Pandor will, today, 10 November 2020, at 13h00 participate in the African Forum on Women Peace and Security event.

Hosted by the African Union’s Office of the Special Envoy on Women Peace and Security, the Forum is aimed at:

  • enhancing synergy among key stakeholders,
  • identifying actions to strengthen the role and leadership of women in Silencing the Guns in Africa,
  • creating a continental platform to enhance coordination of actions and to leverage the surge of the use of digital technologies.

The African Forum on Women Peace and Security will take place, virtually, from 10 to 12 November 2020.

The Minister will speak on the topic “South Africa’s role in advancing the Women Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda at the Global and Continental levels”.
