Deputy Minister Mashego-Dlamini to participate in a panel discussion focussing on Africa Month at the University of Limpopo
The Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Candith Mashego-Dlamini, will participate in a hybrid panel discussion focussing on Africa Month at the University of Limpopo, Turfloop Campus, on Wednesday, 26 May 2021.
Participants in the panel discussion will be students from the faculties of International Relations, Political Science and Law. The Deputy Minister will reflect on the importance of academia or education in the formulation and implementation of foreign policy.
Deputy Minister Mashego-Dlamini has said that: “Foreign policy in practice requires an effective interface among various stakeholders whose activities abroad have a bearing on whether or not South Africa achieves its goals”.
Deputy Minister Mashego-Dlamini has furthermore said: “There is growing realisation in international relations that civil societies, NGOs, business and the whole of government have a reinforcing effect on a country’s foreign policy.”
