The Consulate-General

Welcome to the website of the South African Consulate-General (in Toronto) and the High Commission (in Ottawa).

The High Commission and Consulate General promotes South Africa’s interests in Canada. As such, the High Commission serves Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Nunavut as well as the immediate area surrounding Ottawa. The Consulate General provides consular services in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon and the Northwest Territories.

Accordingly, we aim to foster excellent relations between South Africa and Canada through focusing on promoting the strategic goals on enhancement of relations around trade and investments, tourism, arts and culture as well as on education and training. These goals are aimed to support South Africa’s priorities that have been identified by our government.

South Africans are a vibrant nation that continues to espouse for the values of UBUNTU, which recognises the interdependence of the global community if we are to resolve the intricate challenges facing the World.
