WELCOME NOTE BY THE HEAD OF MISSION
I take this opportunity to welcome and introduce you to the website of the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa in Mali. This website is the gateway to our Embassy and provides you with the opportunity to remain informed about developments in South Africa and services that the Embassy provides to the Malians and South African public.
South Africa remains a premier destination for tourism and always welcome an opportunity to welcome you to our country of beautiful scenery, wildlife, beaches and amazing climate. What is more important is that you will meet culturally diverse South Africans, waiting to welcome you to our rainbow nation!
South Africa and Mali have long and rich historical relations. Mali supported the struggle for liberation in South Africa since 1962. Our relations between the two countries were formalised in 1994 following the democratic breakthrough. The Embassy of the Republic of South Africa continues to deepen people-to-people relations, strengthen relations on the political, economic and social levels and the African Agenda is a priority with Mali.
You will be able to find valuable information here, including links that would lead to even more exciting information. Whether you are interested in traveling to South Africa or to Mali, doing business or simply discover both countries’ diversified cultures you will surely be able to find the information related to your area of interest.
South Africa is open for business and continues to provide a wealth of opportunities for those looking at investing in an emerging market that boosts a stable democracy, incredible infrastructure and world class financial systems.
As we foster these relations, we welcome any suggestions and ideas on how to make this website more informative and user-friendly.
