The Embassy of the Republic of South Africa in Washington, D.C. is the official diplomatic mission of the Republic of South Africa to the United States of America. It is located at 3051 Massachusetts Avenue, North-West, Washington, D.C. in the Embassy Row neighborhood.

The Embassy is responsible for bilateral relations between South Africa and the United States, supported by two Consulates in Los Angeles, and New York.

It provides consular, civic, and passport services to South Africans in the following 25 states: Arkansas, Alabama, District of Colombia (DC), North Dakota, South Dakota, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Texas, Virginia, Virgin Islands, Wisconsin.

The Mission is committed to inculcating the spirit of Ubuntu and the “Batho Pele” (People First) principles, in the provision of its services, which is reflective of our country’s values of putting humanity central to all that we do.
