IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION

Ordinary Passport Holders of the Republic of Slovenia are exempted from the requirement to be in possession of port of entry visas for the Republic of South Africa for a period not exceeding 90 days per visit as indicated in section 10A(4)(a) of the Immigration Act, 2002 (Act No. 10 of 2002). This applies to tourism and business travel to South Africa for periods not exceeding 90 days. This visa exemption enters into force with immediate effect, as from 16 September 2025.

The visa exemption is not applicable for other categories of temporary visits to South Africa as stipulated in sections 13 to 24 of the Immigration Act, 2002 (Act No. 13 of 2002).

Please note that until further notice the Consular Section only accepts payments for the processing of documents via bank transfer electronic payment (no cash!). Before making the application fee transfer online, please ensure whether your passport nationality is required to pay the visa fee, as the payment is non-refundable.
