HOW TO REGISTER YOUR MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE DECREE IN RSA

In order to enable this office to register your marriage OR divorce in South Africa please download and complete the form “REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE” / “REGISTRATION OF DIVORCE” from our website which is  http//www.southafricahouse.uk  and submit together with:

Your legalized marriage certificate & your legalised divorce decree.  You can obtain the legalized marriage & divorce document from legalisationenquiries@fco.gsi.gov.uk , tel. No. 03700 0022 44

1. Once you get the document legalised, please make copies on both the sides, and submit 2 x Certified copies of your legalised document.
2. Two certified copies of your and your spouse’s passport and ID document
3. A signed letter stating that you want to retain your maiden surname/you want to change your surname same to ………………
