Each application must have its own supporting documents or we will deem it incomplete.Complete Application form\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dirco.gov.za\/toronto\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2025\/04\/bi947.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BI-947<\/a>\u00a0in black ink. Do not use wite-out on forms or make alterations. Make sure this is signed and your email and working telephone number is there. Do not remove any pages from the application.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CAN\u00a0$115.00\u00a0processing fee. Please pay using money order or certified cheque payable to the \u201cSouth African Consulate-General\u201d in Toronto\u00a0or\u00a0to the \u201cSouth African High Commission\u201d in Ottawa.\u00a0No\u00a0cash, please.\u00a0No\u00a0personal cheque, please.<\/li>\n\n<li>A duly completed BI-9 OR DHA -9 FORM which will be provided by the South African Consulate-General in Toronto and fingerprints will be taken during the interview in respect of any applicant over the age of 16 years.<\/li>\n\n<li>Two immigration size pictures on white background (35mm in width and 45mm in height)<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>REFER TO PAGE 172 OF THE APPLICATION FORM 947 FOR MORE REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/li>\n\n<li>an unabridged birth certificate in respect of each dependent child;<\/li>\n\n<li>a deed poll in the case of an applicant who has changed his or her name, surname or sex; and<\/li>\n\n<li>the documents relating to the applicant\u2019s marital status or spousal relationship contemplated in regulation 3(2);<\/li>\n\n<li>Book an appointment in advance to be interviewed in Toronto BY EMAILING\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ImmigrationC@dirco.gov.za\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ImmigrationC@dirco.gov.za<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n<li>Once an interview has been completed your application will be forwarded to South Africa for processing.<\/li>\n\n<li>The Consulate-General or High Commission has no powers to accelerate the process but we will follow up on your behalf after the turnaround time stipulated has lapsed.<\/li>\n\n<li>Official Letters\/ Contract of Employment from South Africa can only be signed by South African citizens and Permanent Residents only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Permanent resident permit Processing time: 12 \u2013 24 months Fee:\u00a0CAN $ 115.00:\u00a0(effective from 01 NOV 2022) Collect the documents listed under\u00a0basic requirements\u00a0and over 90 days visit.
