Do not print forms back to back.<\/li>\n\n<li>Print this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dirco.gov.za\/toronto\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/81\/2026\/04\/Remote-Work-Visa-Checklist-2024.pdf\">checklist<\/a>\u00a0and attach with the requirements.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Do not print double sided.<\/li>\n\n<li>Original Passport that expires no less than 30 days after the expiry of your intended departure from South Africa.<\/li>\n\n<li>2 identical passport photos on white background (Canada passport size is acceptable)<\/li>\n\n<li>Proof of your current status in Canada like work, student, permanent resident<\/li>\n\n<li>Original completed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dirco.gov.za\/toronto\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2025\/04\/medical.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">medical report form<\/a>\u00a0stamped and signed by the medical practitioner.\u00a0No\u00a0scans or photocopies will be accepted. Medical reports are valid for 6 months from date of issue.<\/li>\n\n<li>Original fingerprinted police clearance report from all countries you have lived for 12 months or more in the last 5 years to date before applying for this visa.\u00a0No\u00a0copies or scans please. Police reports are valid for 6 months from date of issue. Name and date of birth reports will not be accepted at all.<\/li>\n\n<li>Statement or documentation explaining the purpose and duration of the visit.<\/li>\n\n<li>Signed valid employment contract signed by both applicant and foreign based employer<\/li>\n\n<li>3 months current bank statement reflecting applicant name to support Proof of sufficient financial means , defined as a gross salary of no less that the equivalent of\u00a0R650796.00 per year. ($50\u202f000 Canadian).<\/li>\n\n<li>Proof of accommodation: example a hotel booking or Airbnb<\/li>\n\n<li>If staying at a person\u2019s house: Personal invitations should be signed and stamped at police station together with the id copy. Utility bill should be attached to proof residence. Permanent residents should also attach a\u00a0<strong>copy of the PR certificate as well as their id copy<\/strong>. Any other person that is not a citizen must provide proof of valid status inside South Africa. Certified documents are valid for 6 months from date they are stamped.<\/li>\n\n<li>Flight itinerary is required. This is not the same as a bought ticket. It is free from any travel site. We need it printed and attached to application.<\/li>\n\n<li>To avoid double taxation under section 108(2) of the income tax code of 1962 , Registration with SARS is mandatory If the worker is from a country that has tax treaty with South Africa and will be residing in South Africa for longer than 183 days in any given 12 months period.<\/li>\n\n<li>Registration with SARS is mandatory to any Remote worker that is from any country that does not have a signed tax treaty with South Africa.<\/li>\n\n<li>Passport cannot be collected in person.
