Photocopy, faxed or certified copies of the medical and police certificates are not accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Date stamp should not be older than six months on certified documents and all medical and police clearances<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"x_x_x_h-basic-visa-requirements-for-more-than-90-days-visa\">\n<p><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Basic visa requirements for more than 90 days visa:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span lang=\"en-ZA\">\u00b7<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Passports (Including Travel\/Emergency Travel Documents) must have at least THREE (3) unused (blank) visa pages when presented at the High Commission or Consulate; one page for affixing the visa or permit by the High Commission\/Consulate and the other page for endorsement of entry\/departure stamp by the South African Immigration Services<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">\u00a0Proof of status in Canada,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\">if not a citizen\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\">such as a copy of a permanent resident card, work permit, or study permit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Completed Application form\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\"><a title=\"https:\/\/dirco.gov.za\/toronto\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2025\/04\/DHA-1738.pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/dirco.gov.za\/toronto\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/81\/2026\/04\/DHA-1738-Form-8-2024.pdf\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"2\">DHA-1738<\/a><\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\">in black-ink. Do not use white-out on forms or make alterations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Medical Report (<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\"><a title=\"https:\/\/dirco.gov.za\/toronto\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2025\/04\/medical.pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/dirco.gov.za\/toronto\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2025\/04\/medical.pdf\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"3\">BI-811<\/a><\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\">)<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\">\u00a0with dates not older than 6 months and must have office stamp. Names must be written clearly not on stickers. No hand written address or stickers. Original form required. No faxed\/photocopies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">The applicants are ONLY required to provide Police Clearance Certificate \/Report from Countries that they have lived in after attaining the age of eighteen (18 ) years for a minimum period of twelve (12) or more consecutive months in the last five (5) years leading to the submission of the application<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Original Fingerprinted Police Reports should be submitted within six ( 6) months from the date of issue and NO scanned or copies will be accepted<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Please note that NAME and Date of Birth police report will NOT be accepted<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\">A vaccination certificate, if transiting through a yellow fever belt country.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Applicant\u2019s current month bank statement reflecting total 3 months to date bank statement record with account holder\u2019s name and available balance<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">All personal \/ private invitations should be signed, have specific dates of length of stay, residential address and not to be in an email body. Personal invitation must be done and stamped at the police station. The host must include certified copy of utility bill to verify residential address. Include a certified copy of ID and if you are not a citizen include the PR certificate copy as well. Always include copy of your Valid status in South Africa like\u00a0 your visa\u00a0 or refugee document if you are inviting a person<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Notarized financial support letter from parents\/spouses and certified copies of the front page with bio data of their valid passports and bank statements of guarantor. Do not blot out the account number or names on the bank statement. Please print your bank statement at least a day before visiting our offices. Certified copy of Unabridged Birth Certificate (in case of a dependent that is not self supporting financially even if you are over 18. Include your parents certified valid passports copies and marriage or divorce certificates as well.); This is for people who do not have their own bank accounts and are supported by parents.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Medical coverage if you are studying or going for exchange issued by South African medical aid scheme. Momentum\u00a0 ( Ingwe option) is able to help even if you are not yet inside the country.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Volunteer applications and any invitation from a company in South Africa\u00a0 should have proof of registration from the Company in South Africa and SARS certificate of Good standing :<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Proof of company registration with<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\"> the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission\u00a0(CIPC)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Proof of good standing with South African Revenue Service\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\">(SARS)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Invitations for meetings and work must have 2 letters. One from the company in South Africa and the other one from the company in South Africa.\u00a0NO electronic signatures please\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Certified copy of marriage certificate\/ divorce decree; Certified copy of death certificate in case of widowed applicant;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Proof of accommodations i.e. Confirmed hotel reservations for your entire stay if you are not visiting a person\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Printed detailed flight itinerary (not just airport codes). No handwritten itinerary please;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Statement and\/or documentation confirming the purpose and duration of visit;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Two (2) passport-size photographs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">All applicants 17 and under must include a long form birth certificate (unabridged birth certificate, parents certified valid passports copies and certified marriage certificate)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Prepaid courier label for the return of passport<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">In the case of any minor, applicant must submit proof of consent from both parents, the parents\u2019 identity documents, marriage or death certificate in the case where one of the parents is deceased, adoption papers and the applicant\u2019s unabridged birth certificate;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">In the case of a school trip, the student under the age of 18 years will be required to submit a letter from the school indicating the appointed guardian by the school and a certified copy of his\/her passport; and where applicable the letter from the School in South Africa as well indicating the purpose of the visit and the exact dates of intended stay<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">In the case of a minor, accompanied by one parent, a notarized letter of consent from the other parent who is not accompanying the applicant;\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\"><a title=\"https:\/\/dirco.gov.za\/ottawa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2025\/04\/ParentalConsentAffidavit.pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/dirco.gov.za\/ottawa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/67\/2025\/04\/ParentalConsentAffidavit.pdf\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"4\">Click Here<\/a> to download<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">In the case of a minor, the particulars of the person in the Republic who will act as the applicant\u2019s guardian and confirmatory letter from such person; proof of consent for the intended stay from both parents or from the sole custody parent along with the proof of sole custody i.e. decree of divorce;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">In the case of adoption, certified copies of adoption papers, full Birth Certificate of applicant and parents\u2019 identity documents.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-ZA\">Any other documentation or proof that the visa official may deem necessary;<\/span><span lang=\"en-ZA\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n<p><strong><!-- \/wp:list --><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Basic application information and requirements Visitors who intend to visit South Africa for more than 90 days should select the relevant visa listed\u00a0Here.
