South African Nationals to register to vote abroad for the 2024 Elections15 Feb 2024
The consular service or consulate is the point of contact for South African and foreign citizens who wish to stay or work in South Africa, temporarily or permanently.
The consulate takes care of the following formalities:
- Registration of births outside South Africa
- Identification documents
- Passports and travel documents
- Nationality
- Modification of marital status
- Birth, marriage and death certificates
- Visas
- Temporary residence permits
- Permanent residence permits
- Administrative fines
- Security deposits
The consulate is open to the public from MONDAY to THURSDAY from 9:00 to 12:00, except public holidays (See list of public holidays observed by the Embassy).
Forms to be returned by mail must be marked “Attention: Consular Service”.
