A notice to South Africans living in Kenya, from the South African High Commission

South Africans living in Kenya and registered to Vote on the forthcoming South African General elections are hereby requested to note the following information:

  • Voting at the South African High Commission in Nairobi, Kenya will only take place on Saturday, 18 May 2024 from 07:00 -19:00.
  • Voters are required to provide their RSA identity card/document or a valid (Temporary Identification Certification) TIC when voting abroad.
  • Voters abroad are no longer required to provide their RSA passport when voting in the forthcoming elections.
  • Voters registered to vote abroad and intending to vote at the mission where they are registered, may vote at that mission and do not need to submit an online VEC 10 to vote abroad.
  • Voters registered to vote inside in RSA but intending to vote abroad may do so, provided they submit an online VEC 10 to vote abroad (available from www.elections.org.za which must be submitted between 23 February and 22 April 2024).
  • Voters registered to vote at a mission abroad but intending to vote at a different mission abroad are required to submit an online VEC 10 to vote abroad (available from www.elections.org.za which must be submitted between 23 February and to 22 April 2024).
