On 26 May 2023, the South African Embassy in Addis Ababa celebrated 29 years of a Democratic, Non-racial and Non-sexist South Africa. The Minister ìn the Presidency for Women, Youth and People with Disabilities of the Republic of South Africa, HE Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the Director-General for Africa Affairs from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, HE Ambassador Fesseha Shawel and the Deputy Chairperson for the African Union Commission, Dr Monique Nsanzabaganwa addressed the event.
